I love to use Pinterest as my virtual bulletin board. As you might guess many of my pins are sewing related. Click here to see what fun stuff I've found and pinned to different sewing boards.

Concert Black Haiku - Part 1

All About Vision
Cutting, Pinning  - Plan to Sew

Replace Concert Black

M3650 - Out of Print - Many Vendors Still Carry This Pattern Used

Tired of the black top I've been wearing to sing as a member of Stanford Symphonic Chorus, I've recently cut out a Tried-and-True Pattern. The material is some kind of heavy-silklike, man-made fabric. I bought it in New York's Garment District. When performing we all wear black. The styles are up to us.

Our next concert is early March. Nothing like a goal to get something sewn!

Nothing like using a Tried-and-True  pattern to inspire me to dream about something new, take up my shears, and get going.

  1. I was wondering what happened to you I loved hearing your podcasts. BTW, I never saw any pictures of you and your daughters wedding garments. Keep us informed to what you’re making.

  2. Thanks for posting Hilary!
I miss doing that podcast too .I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. I didn't want to do the kind where the podcaster says - Oh here are all the reasons I haven't been casting!

I'm preparing to start a new style podcast. The working title is called 'Memoires of a Time Traveller'.

I've thought about doing a once a season sewing episode instead of once a month. Right now I'm not sewing enough to justify it - for the time being. You really don't want to hear me go on and on about how many projects I have going on - I don't!

I'm working on doing what I call 'Sew 15' - convincing myself that if I even put 15 minutes a few times a week I'll get something sewn! I almost have the above top done and will post it soon. I have to finish it because our concert is this weekend.
